Keeping in shape is important for everyone's health, but regular exercise is particularly important to help keep you fit and healthy if you have Crohn's disease. Exercise will help you to:

- Prevent loss of calciumAn element that forms the structure of bones and teeth and is essential to many of the body's functions. and protein from bones.
Before you start any programme of exercise, especially if you are taking medication or have had surgery, check with your doctor or specialist first.
When I was first diagnosed I was most worried about how Crohn's disease would change my life. Dancing has been my passion since I was a little girl, and I still dance.
